Mesothelioma in its malignant form is one of the most fatal varieties of cancer known till date. It is an incurable disease which claims more than a thousand lives every year in the United States alone. With the progress of medical science and technology, the lives of the victims may be able to be prolonged for a while, yet a confident cure has yet to be reached and the final prognosis given, is always fatal. For obvious reasons, treatment for such a disease is extremely costly and may at times, become very difficult for patients to pay for them. Therefore, the link between the disease and the victim’s asbestos exposure (which causes this lung cancer) needs to be proved, to assume help from some quarter.
